Take McDonalds’s for example – it’s no restaurant and I don’t really care for the food – but my kids love the chicken nuggets and french fries. While indulging my kids - I’ve noticed the employees spend a lot of time cleaning. That gives me some comfort (or at least the illusion) that the kitchen/food prep area is clean.
Then there are those “eating establishments” where you find a hair in the salad, or you see an occasional bug on the floor! My friend told me about a steak house I visit - she found a ROACH cooked into the batter of an order of onion rings. That is N*A*S*T*Y! I will never visit these places again! All it takes is one story (especially from a credible source) - and I’m not stepping foot in the place. That kind of news travels fast!
Spend a little extra time on cleanliness, pest control, hair nets, and employee hand-washing programs. You’ll be glad you did.
Are the tables clean? Is the trash emptied regularly so it doesn’t spill? Bathrooms clean? If I happen to be in the bathroom with an employee – I better see them wash their hands!
Are you “clean” or N*A*S*T*Y? If you don’t answer “clean” – you’re destroying your own tribe. It’s that simple.
